Baltimore speaker/panelist photos and audio on the way August 3, 2006

Posted by Griff Wigley in Baltimore symposium.
trackback

I captured many hours of audio from today’s sessions in Baltimore, as well as dozens of accompanying photos. Because of my travel schedule and other commitments (my motorcycle desperately needs attention), it’ll take me the better part of week to get it all posted. I’ll try to do at least one session per day starting Monday, the 7th of Aug.

With reference to the Government Connect ‘Bendy Doll’ pictures, could someone kindly explain what Government Connect is doing at an e-democracy conference in the States?

Hi Ian,

I could be wrong but I don’t think anyone from Government Connect was here… just that some National Project materials were being made available to attendees so they could learn about them.

If someone else has better info on this, please attach a comment.

FYI to interested others: The UK Gov. Connect site is at:

There was nobody in attendance from Government Connect at the event. However the synergies of having GovConnect using ICELE tools, were referenced as an example of joined up practices which drew some interest from those involved with programmes such as http://www.firstgov.gov, the US Government’s web portal or those that are seeking to use regional or state portals as a more localised approach.
